The NRAS Incentive is a substantial annual tax-free incentive available to any investors who agree to rent approved dwellings to NRAS approved tenants, and is payable on a per-dwelling basis. At present the incentive amounts to nearly $183 per week, or $9,524 per year, totalling over $100,000 within a 10 year period with a likely rise of at least 5% expected in May 2012.

Each approved dwelling attracts the NRAS Incentive for 10 years, provided that investors continue to comply with conditions around tenant eligibility and rent levels. The Australian Government has no legal or equitable claim over the property, so NRAS investors can therefore expect to benefit from the annual NRAS Incentive, rental yields and capital gain.
